Silvertoad was founded and has always operated with honesty, integrity and ethical principles and accreditation with the Good Business Charter (GBC) provides a formal means of recognition for our efforts and how we like to behave, interact and trade.
The GBC encourages and measures business practice and behaviour across 10 areas, real living wage, fairer hours and contracts, employee well-being, employee representation, diversity and inclusion, environmental responsibility, paying fair tax, commitment to customers, ethical sourcing, and prompt payment.
Accreditation covers several aspects, including employment rights to sourcing and taxing. The GBC takes into account every angle of the business to evaluate behaviour, how it treats the employees, its customers, its approach to the supply chain and compliance with the laws.
