Love Luton | Proudly Supported by Silvertoad

Silvertoad is in love with Luton!

love luton campaignEarlier this month, Silvertoad were visited by a film crew from the ‘Love Luton’ initiative.

The reason behind the sudden rush of media exposure was because Luton Borough Council had put us forward for inclusion in this year’s ‘Love Luton’ video because Silvertoad is seen as a successful local company on the rise.  We are a local ‘Beacon’ company who are proud to help promote our home town with provision for employment and training for local people.  Many of our staff are born and raised in Luton and we intend to keep our towns local talent ongoing.

Silvertoad also greatly takes prides with the fact that the sourcing of our suppliers comes locally while also working with local Luton based companies to provide competitive, unmatched, top-quality design, printing, website development and online marketing services.

‘Love Luton’ exists to improve the image and perception of Luton to enhance belief in the town and drive a thriving economy.  The scheme was originally formed back in July 2010 to lead Luton’s bid for City Status. Although not successful, we achieved many other things and it was agreed to continue with the campaign into 2012. Following a successful 2012 with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and Luton hosting the Torch Relay it has now been agreed to continue into 2013 and beyond for the campaign.

The Popular campaign is enthusiastically supported by Local businesses, voluntary and community groups, as well as the Council. The team is made up of people representing all those organisations who work together to create confidence, pride and a positive image of Luton. The partnership works together by organising events and initiatives to bring the community together whilst promoting the town. Alongside this it has a community awards fund which supports local community groups and charities.
