by Toma HabashiSilvertoad is proud to reveal a great start to 2014 by confirming that it’s been selected as the agency of choice to produce South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership (SEMLEP)’s new Velocity Growth Hub website portal, due for launch end of January 2014.
SEMLEP is one of 39 Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) operated jointly by the private and public sectors in the area to promote the South East Midlands as a prime growth location for business, investors and visitors.
Silvertoad have been appointed by SEMLEP to provide creative services for the Velocity brand as well as all design, development and on-going support for the website portal.
Velocity is being launched as a business support growth hub designed to boost local growth and local jobs in the South East Midlands. The portal will be a single point of contact and support for the 141,000+ companies based in SEMLEP’s economic area when it goes live in early 2014.
The online portal, which will be supported by experts from the local Chambers of Commerce, will provide a personalised service to every business that seeks SEMLEP’s support and advice. Businesses logging on will be signposted to existing national and local business support services and many will also receive individual support from the growth hub team. Support is also available from a number of subsidised business growth programmes.
“Our Velocity growth hub will manage, roll-out and deliver successful programmes that create new jobs and catalyse business growth across the South East Midlands,” said SEMLEP Chief Executive Daniel Mouawad. “The portal will be open to all businesses seeking support. In addition we will have tailored and subsidised one-to-one support for businesses in our target sector areas. These include: Advanced Manufacturing; High Performance Technology; Logistics; Creative and Design; Financial and Business services; and Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare.”
