The Pride movement is an all-inclusive social & cultural celebration of LGBT+ people (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender as well as asexual, non-binary, gender-fluid, questioning and others), and it is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2019. The jubilee commemorates the 1969 Stonewall Riots which sparked the birth of Pride movements around the world, and it has been a continuing battle to secure equal rights and the freedom to love for people of all genders and sexualities.
In order to show our support, Silvertoad has changed its logo to incorporate the colours of the rainbow to represent the Pride flag and to highlight our alliance with the LGBT+ community. We want to be inclusive and approachable to all customers from all backgrounds, as other companies like Tesco and Barclays have done.
If you want to get involved, London Pride is taking place this year on Saturday 6th July, and it holds an exciting array of musical performances, theatrical plays, invigorating debates as well as the colourful parade through Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus. Go down and celebrate with your family and friends!
