Christmas Donations For Stepping Stones! Christmas Donations For Stepping Stones!
Christmas donations for stepping stones | Silvertoad, Luton

Silvertoad were delighted to put together and donate Christmas Packs to support those in need through Stepping Stones Luton.

Stepping Stones are a vulnerable women and children’s charity and support local women who are subject to domestic abuse, substance abuse and the issues around that – expanding to offending, mental health issues and poverty. The charity provides hope, skills and resources, and exists to help strengthen and empower women to make better choices for themselves and their children.

As part of much needed support, the charity are asking for Christmas packs for the women and children they help. Silvertoad are proud to support Stepping Stones as one of several charities this year, and so of course we were pleased to be able to provide children’s packs – consisting of toys, chocolates and other goodies; as well as women’s packs with essentials such as tissues and socks, with a few little luxuries like candles and lip gloss.

Stepping Stones are appealing for more Christmas packs similar to what we’ve put together and donated, so if you can help, please do!

Due to the support centre being so busy and client confidentiality, please bring any items or packs you’d like to donate, to the SILVERTOAD OFFICES. We will then deliver them to Stepping Stones on your behalf.

Every donation is appreciated and Stepping Stones are particularly in need of:

If you would like to make a monetary donation instead, that will help go towards supporting their Christmas open day, which costs around £500 to fund. This great event involves food, music, gifts and entertainment – and is often the first positive or ‘normal’ Christmas that the women and children in their care have experienced.

A donation of just £10 helps buy food to make a healthy hot meal for 5 children. A donation of £20 helps replenish stocks of nappies, pregnancy tests and sanitary products.
